Florilegium - A Gathering of Flowers

The word florilegium is a Latin calque, an old one, of Greek anthology. Both share the same metaphorical extension of the original meaning, in that they refer to large collections of short writings. Unlike anthology, however, Florilegium still retains the etymological sense a gathering of flowers.

I've collected some notes about how this came to be, under Rhizomes and Replantings.

I also have a few notes about the Myaamia Language.
